Another JohnstownDaya Nikahetiya"Johnstown": Jams Warren Johns was the founder of "Peoples Temple" which was latter famous as "Johnstown", located in Indianapolis, Guyana. It was an isolated agricultural commune built in 1974 and had a population around one thousand. At the beginning Jim Johns church in Johnstown earned reputation for aiding the unemployed youths, homeless, drug addicts and the poorest in the city. There he started many social projects such
as daycares centres, medical clinics for the benefit of the poor. With
Jim John's ability to manipulate people, he used brainwashing techniques
and performed miracle healings to keep the loyalty of his congregation
and attract members. "Johnstown" became internationally
notorious after died over nine hundred people including 276 children
on November 18, 1978 by mass murder suicide by drinking cyanide laced
flavour aid on Jim Johns order. Jim Johns gave his follows sense of
security under his protection and promised to take them out of this
cruel world to a 'promised heaven on earth' but, ultimately he brought
