The
Futility Of Broadcasting The Propaganda Of A Convicted Terrorist Leader
And Pushing Peace Synonymously. With a Supreme Court Ruling set in place for his immediate arrest and conviction it seems a contradiction of the Justice System to continue broadcasting proclamations by terrorist leader in hiding Velupillai Prabhakaran as he no longer has the right to do so. His 'favourable consideration' and appeals to the Sinhala Nation are no longer required towards what he terms a political framework offering autonomy and self government which furthermore is an endorsement that he has never really denounced the pursuit of secession despite the canvas being painted by the Wickremasinghe-Peiris bandwagon whose statements on a daily basis are contradiction steeped more in mystery than in verifiable accuracy albeit the calm in the Land which has thus far prevailed . It is a reasonable conclusion that Prabhakaran has no real right to represent the Tamil Community as much as Anton Balasingham and the rest of the LTTE taskforce now involved in a Peace Process which unmistakably points out the Government's objectives in collaboration with the LTTE and none other than a means for self survival for both entities as the 4th of December approaches and already there are rumbles about what action the President might take in the face of all the pussy footing between the UNF and the LTTE in an attempt to address many concerns from many areas of the population. The phraseology may sound different to the undiscerning but the blatant reality of the LTTE's real quest needs no rocket science to decipher its subtle overtones as ennunciated by the latest Prabhakaran dialogue which sounds very much like"We Have Not Given Up Our Quest Which We Will Accomplish Through Craft And Trickery As The Pursiut Of Terrorism After September 11th Now Seems A No No!" while the Government continues to panders to their demands and virtually dance to their tunes! There is a mumbo jumbo rhetoric going on about 'A historical homeland pursuit of developing their language, culture economy and managing their own affairs " as quoted from the 'voice in the jungle' which is an endorsement of separation in the clearest possible terms which the Administration needs to be briefed aboutbeing of myopic vision! in more comprehensive language together with its implications which may result in ensuing mayhem for the Sinhala Nation. The refered to ' historical homeland pursuits', might it be suggested, to any who have such ambitions, stand a better chance of being made manifest if it was taken up through conjoining those in the historical homeland across the Palk Strait where the contingencies refered to as distinct needs have been flourishing for centuries so why not join them rather than attempt to colonize their own requirements in unwelcome territory where the only legitimate culture, economy and language are those constitutionally set aside with generous provision towards co-existence with the rest of the minorities expected to live in peace sided by side? If this is not the objective of the Peace Process then it would be a worthless process which would in a roundabout manner give into the demand of secession, by lip reading Prabhakaran who has had the affront to say , " If our demand for regional self-rule based on the right to internal self-determination is rejected, we have no alternative other than to secede and form an independent state" and for the Government to continue its indifference to such proclamations is apathetic on behalf of the Nation!!! It would be a great travesty of justice to continue the tolerance of the continuity of such propaganda by the LTTE towards their cause through their ignominious leader who has no incentive nor inclination to make his presence felt in person for obvious reasons and a great tragedy should the Noble Sinhala Nation and the future of its sons and daughters be disrupted by what may seem to be a mere rumble in the jungle which nevertheless may have dark intonations towards the future and stability of a Democratic Republic aided by a flawed Peace Process which needs many infusions of change to its infrastructure. It seems meaningless to continue broadcasting the propaganda of the sought after Prabhakaran synonymously with the Peace sought after by the Government as the duplicity showing is ridiculously transparent.
