The Executive President and Commander of the Armed forces will have her hand forced by the dark deeds of the UNF towards collaborating with the LTTE and she will be compelled to direct the Forces under her command to prevent the LTTE from violating the ceasefire in the future.There can be no half measures involving Peace in Sri Lanka.The charade has gone on long enough between the UNF Government, Norway and the LTTE and its about time higher authority stepped in.

Echoing the sentiments of a recent British Government Representative visiting Sri Lanka and the former Speaker of the House together with many dignitaries including Religious Leaders it has been established logically that no peace could ever be accomplished if one of the parties contributing towards the hostilities refuses to disarm and de-commission weapons as otherwise it points to a hidden agenda of ill repute considering the implications.

The UNF administration in the meantime continues in gay abandon waving banners which indicate by their definition that all's well with the quest for a permannet peace and the ambiguities involved in this rationale are so far fetched that even the skeptics now believe that this indeed is pure eyewash on the part of the Government soft pedalling on the core issuesd vital to the Nation yet permitting and tolerating what might be termed surreptitious and underhand activities of the LTTE in addition to their blatant child conscriptions which continue unabated, secret arms buildups and even the smuggling of suspicious looking packages under the watchful but helpless eyes of the immediate authorities who have received orders from the top to be lax in their responses.

There has even been a bulletin issued by the puerile wisdom of UNF idealogue and peer aping sychopant spokesperson Moragoda that there is no need to disarm the LTTE as it may hamper the Peace process in an expression of nit witted logic which sounds like "roll over and play dead' as all aggression will then subside, a sentiment also echoed at times by the equally inept Defence Minister who believes that complacency is the keyword towards peace.On the reverse side of the equation the LTTE who by any definition should have been incarcerated long ago takes the leanings of the UNF towards then as a signal to continue their contentious sabre rattling at times courtesy of Anton Balasingham and ups the ante in their demands which in time will see the sure hand of authority step in to stem the rot! Real Authority with the Armed Forces as a deterrent.

Information received by the former Speaker has made him lash out verbally in Parliament in saying quote""We are not going to be quiet if the LT can resort to half measures while continuing its flagrant violations of the ceasefire MoU. The President will use her full powers which are granted by the constitution. The Defence Minister continues to turn a blind eye at every matter raised in the National Security Council. " end quote which is an indication of the path which will be taken by Presidential assertion as the runaway train trend of the UNF continues to support and supplement the LTTE who are undoubtedly forging ahead towards their own ambits with rank disregard to the best interests of the Sinhala Nation.

The year of a non hostile environment undoubtedly has caused great relief to the hardpressed inhabitants of Sri Lanka although there are many who believe this may be short lived as the LTTE have refused to disarm or desist the pursuit of their objectives.

Realistically they represent a negative force whose leader hides in a jungle hideout and their targets often have been innocent civilians and never has there been any sincerity towards the well being of the Sinhala Nation whose right it is to exist in sovereignity and should the President resort to an all out campaign to contain All Elements which hamper real peace within the land she would be doing what has been vested in her as her prime responsibility to which the Nation has its founding fathers to thank for.
