Latest LTTE Rhetoric Indicating Their "Air Defences" Need To Be Responded To And Immobilised If Necessary!

Previous Editorials have constantly refered to LTTE cacophony of meaningless justification despite the realities thet they have no real capabilities to conduct an all out offensive against the Sri Lankan Armed with any credibility.The have not only been debilitated after the Tsunami and their cadres replenished more by child recruits and women rather than real fighting men and rely on sporadic surprise attacks on the Armed Forces and their loud rhetoric indicative of a pack of corbnered hyenas about to be toen apart by a pride of lions! When The Tamil Tiger say their 'Air force' or did they mean Air Farce? is ready to launch attacks on the Sri Lanka Government's armed forces, if Eelam War IV breaks out, they are taking on a tall order and thew messenger who calls himself Colonel Bhanu needs to be checked out for his credentials!

As time runs out on the LTTE it is to be expected that their rhetoric is bound to increase in volume and this is not the first time the Tamil rebel outfit have uttered such threats although it is indeed the first time they have openly admitted the presence of an Air Force whether concocted or not which is supposed to have been inducted as their 'other fighting unit.' The Sri Lankan Airforce has reiterated many times over that if this be the case they will scramble their full fighting forces of Air Defence to shoot down any ambitious LTTE craft and perhaps better still if they were destroyed while they were grounded so that 'Col Bhanu ' can digest some of his rhetoric. He also seems to have overlooked the latest warning given by the USA which has said in no uncertain terms that any LTTE escalations of aggression against the Sri Lankan Government will be dealt with effectively and forcefully! India too surely waits in the wings waiting with whatever contributions reasonably permissible contrary to popular belief that it will not respond to Sri Lanka in a time of need as it has to do with regional security.

In what seems a show of unmitigated reprehensible thought and in total contravention of a Peace Process and Ceasefire in effect there has been a reference by the LTTE to "A rural self-defence training and drill program to the villagers being launched at Eeralakulam village" as though it might send shimmies up the spines of Sri Lankan Defence Authorities when to the contrary it would only embolden them and fortify their resolve to overcome and deal with any LTTE threat which the LTTE seem to be qualifying themselves for through irresponsible proclamations.

In what seems to be all but foolish and perverse verbosity which the LTTE could hardly qualify for, their so called " Colonel Bahnu " a relatively unknown individual if analogies could be drawn to any self appointed "Colonel " and the greater recognition always remaining with the one Colonel who has truly proved his worth in skills, strategy and logistical and terrotorial know how as an LTTE operative now being on the other side of the fence, the ubiquitous Col.Karuna who also goes by the name of Muralitharan who has also sent out warnings to the LTTE that his support towards eliminating the Wanni Tigers will be implicit and forthwith so for the time being Bahnu may have to reconsider his idle threats against a Sovereign Nation as it may spur more than one source of LTTE adversity into unexpected action and a dangerous game for the LTTE to even think about!

While it seems blatant arrogance which does not have a single area of rational support for, even in theory other than the wishful thinking of expatriate LTTE supporters whose numbers have also dwindled over the past few years where the more discerning amongst them realise the futility of the currently broadcast ambitions of the LTTE and have denounced them to greater effect, the LTTE seem to be experiencing some unaccountable surge of adrenaline to make public their participations in the commencement of the" village level training " while disclosing information about the Tamil rebel outfit’s 'Air Force ' , easily destroyable light aircraft at best which are supposed to be is "ready for combat" almost in terms of goading the Sri Lankan Defences whose strategies of defence regardless of veracities of LTTE threats need to be bolstered towards a worst case scenario and should never let their defence capabilities be compromised despite what appears once again to be bold rhetoric! which goes on to say that "not only the black Tigers - the suicide squad of the Tigers Navy, but also the Tamil Tigers Air force too is ready to fight against the Sri Lanka Armed force and an appropriate response from the Sri Lankan Defence Authorities more than likely forthcoming.

The logic of such sudden emotional outbursts whether it be from ' Colonel ' Bahnu, Colonel Sanders or Colonel Bogey sounds more of an appeal and an entreaty rather than a threat to the Sri Lankan Defence Forces, or perhaps even the baring of fangs by a cornered cur where there are fairly obvious tones of resignation apparent when it is said (in very feeble command of the Queens'' English, typos notwithstanding!) that, "If in a case Sri Lanka Government impose a war on us, then no one of us should remain simply as a spectator, but every one of us should become active participants in the belligerent campaign against the Sri Lanka Government. "
This time around it might not be only the Sri lankan Government which would more than likely impose an offensive against the grave provocations of the LTTE but a greater conglomeration of angered world response who are fast growing weary of the very presence of the LTTE in a sovereighn nation where they have no rights to exist not any mandate to conduct their insurgent activities where no one recognizes them as an official opposition to the administrative infrastructure of Democratic Sovereign Sri Lanka.They simply happen to be a menace whose presence has been tolerated beyond all norms of rationality and often through the indiscretions of previous regimes who devised for themselves an agenda towards their own survival through harboting these mendacious terrorists which to all intents and purposes now seem to have backfired on them albeit with some ramifications for the nation!

Therefore it only stands to reason that the LTTE are merely qualifying themselves for a resounding routing deservedly so according to many analysts and should reconsider how their so called 'Colonels' and other spokespersons express themselves with no dignity or respect towards international statutes and accords which do not grant them any licence towards the intimidatory rhetoric that continues to get louder by the day as sooner or later they are bound to be heard and responded to with dire consequences and no regrets in the best interest of Sovereign Sri Lanka !
