Indian Demands Augur Well Towards A Realistic Peace and Deserves Consideration As They Are Beneficial To Sri Lanka. Can we as a Proud Sinhala Nation realistically forgive and forget the misdeeds of the LTTE? and let their massive crimes against humanity and a Sovereigh Nation go unpunished? It is one thing to be name called a 'southern chauvinist' if the title emphasized the outspokenness of distressed Sinhalese from Sinhalese Quarters but one has to remember the protests also of the minority Muslims and disgruntled Tamils who are more aligned with reality in condemning and advising caution against the liberalities of the UNF Government and their haste to set up accords of conciliations which a greater part of the more discerning International Community are beginning to disagree with as in the case of our close friend and neighbour India. Rank testimony to this reality comes from the latest vehement objections by Tamil Nadu as well as the Congress Party of India who may very well hold the reins to the next seat of Indian Power in their eye opening statement so accurate and to the point that it is a travesty of justice to the Sri Lankan People as well as to India to pander to the LTTE's falsified new image and that its leaders should be brought to justice under Indian, Sri Lankan and International Law. Indian reactions have deemed it laughable that criminals such as Prabhakaran and Balasingham have been recognised as new image politicians by the Sri Lankan Administration and permitted to roam free uttering ambiguously arrogant unspontaneous statements, to a degree garbled and with no direction other than a veiled insistence of original LTTE demands, pre-written by Balasingham and that the responses from the Wickremasinghe Administration shows naivette and gullibility in its responses. Tamil Nadu Minister Jayalalitha together with a large group of Indian Officials has warned that Sri Lanka's present attitude towards Prabhakaran could be consequential with dire ramifications to the entire Region of South Asia. They have also advised the Indian Administration that Indian Military Strength should be excercised towards apprehending Prabhakaran if necessary and does not augur well with the Sri Lankan Administration playing a 'Cat and Mouse' game with the Integrity of the Sinhala Nation given the facts presented by India relative to justification of the need to apprehend an Internationally Wanted Criminal and it just might be appropriate lend a ear to India's cautions and respond to demands for extradition where there is an Extradition Treaty set in place between the two countries.Unmitigated co-operation by Sri Lanka towards India's need could be seen as the resolution to the greatest need within Sri Lanka as it would permanently efface the existence of a Notoriety responsible for ravaging Sri Lanka's very heart and soul and laid waste many innocent lives and presently wandering around in the manner of an Atlas bearing the Tamil Community on his shoulders to address the mythical nature of the concept. Curiously the Tamil Community is being presented by pro LTTE factions and its propaganda machine as being totally dependant on Prabhakaran's manouvering and his leadership but the latest Kilinochchi Press Conference has shed new light on an introverted, hesitant and rather confused individual apathetically dependent on his mouthpeice Balasingham, confusing journalists at times, showing poor leadership qualities if any and one whose capabilities to lead any community let alone the Tamils in a representative capacity dubious and the likes of whom prefer covert cowardly operations from seclusion and hiding where in the open in the glare of the spotlights his true personality has been revealed. The permanent removal from the arena of such pretenders could well do the Tamil Community per se a great favour as India perceives in wisdom combined with the need for atonement for the murder of many prominent personalities and primarily former Prime Minister the Late Hon. Rajiv Gandhi still adored and remembered by India as one of their greatest personalities in recent times who could have changed India's Destiny yet needlessly wasted away by the man in question now taking up pretenses of benevolence. As The Sinhala and Tamil New Year dawns over the Indian Ocean and bathes Sri Lanka in its warm ambience and empathy and Sri Lankans prepare for the Great Celebration which has been the tradition over the years for its peace loving inhabitants drawn unwillingly into a of war of attrocities and chaos, it is hoped that a New Era Of Tranquility will present itself in permanence and not based on conjecture or speculation and there seems to be an end which could justify all means towards establishing this Era in joining hands with our Northern Neighbours and their specific request. With All Good Wishes For A Prosperous, Tranquil, Happy And Blessed New
Year.
