Indias Concerns Over The Granting Of Broadcast Rights To The LTTE Coincides With The Security Of The Nation. India which has been Sri Lanka's historical ally for generations, apart
from the infamous ancient Dravidian invasions which categorically are
the origins of Sri Lanka's problems with the LTTE has unequivocally expressed
serious concerns to the UNF Administration about the granting of a broadcasting
license and the permission to purchase sophisticated equipment to the
LTTE's clandestine Voice of Tigers whose name alone coined with the given
adjective 'clandestine' simply suggests a No No! albeit the push by a
misguided Administration continuing on its path towards betraying the
Sinhala Nation. India certainly recognizes with great perception along
with all opposition parties, the dangerous implications of the complicity
which it tantamounts to so why not the blinkered Administration? ere it's
too late to detract from the ills of such a move? High Frequency Briadcasting Equipment has laready been transfered in great secrecy to the LTTE with hardly any dues or duties levied under a shroud of secrecy accompanied by a denial to the Indian Government of its details and consequently a security breach to all of South East Asia looms. One which could also be affected by the inroads the LTTE could gain towards their cause through the possesion and the right to use the power to transmit their idealogies whilst they remain an outlawed and banned organization and the point to ponder upon is "what motivation does the Government have and on what rationale does it base its decision on?" especially in view of the waiving of levvies and dues and a certain hurried mentality amidst great secrecy to grant the approval by-passing customs, diplomatic norms and other formalities all of which indicate a rather imposing perspective on the objectives behind such a move! Once again the Government has indicated that it is willing to gamble with the security of the Nation in granting unnecessary and risky concessions to an outlawed organization still in the quest for secession and the propagation of their partisan objectives and one which very nearly destroyed the Sinhala Nation and if this is not cause enough for higher authority to step in and quell the dangers being imposed on the Nation, one wonders what is? India's Concerns as expressed have a degree of validity to it which by far invalidates and replaces a felt need for the LTTE to be granted Broadcasting Rights which not only makes a mockery of the principle of an Independent Democracy but also raises concerns about the future of the Sinhala Nation.
