Finally it seems to be gradually dawning on the World in the light of the roles played by the USA and India in their contemptuous response to the LTTE that they are not completely accepted as being representatives of the entire Tamil Community whose flag bearers they have pretended to be for a very long time the reality of which is rather embarrassingly for the LTTE coming to light through the snubs recieved fron Washington and New Delhi to all their entreaties for recognition!

Despite the attitude of Ranil Wickremasinghe's UNF Administration which constantly palavers to the LTTE and dances to most of their tunes the USA and India with their No Nonsense attitude have paved the way for world opinion of a very convincing nature that terrorism has no place in the world of today and a leaf from this book needs to be taken very seriously by the Sri Lankan Administration whose rather poor vision of how to deal with terrorists points to their compromising with an entity which needs to be further isolated and put down.

The LTTE in obvious awareness of the Sri Lankan Administration's indecisive mentality has acquired the knack of being opportunistic at every turn to hold onto the grip they have on the UNF and in their latest move of withdrawing from Peace Talks indicative of political blackmail which the USA and India have very correctly opposed, is a typical example of their tactics which seem to be succesful within the enclaves of the Wickremasinghe Administration only and a point to bear in mind.

Angry rebuttals and protestations from the LTTE camp have consequently ensued although at no stage of their existence will there be any likelihood that they will ever confront the USA or India head on being aware of the consequences although a bit of sabre rattling with the Sri Lankan Goverment seems to be in order and their withdrawal from the Peace Talks which appears to have been initiated in all pretense seems to be having the desired effect as indicated by the current mood of the Nation anxious about what the LTTE's next move is going to be!

Suddenly the 'love affair ' between Ranil Wickremasinghe and the LTTE appears to have been put on tenterhooks where the former has been called ' impotent' and criticized to the point of incarceration and veiled threats issued in suggestion of what they might do as an alternative while knowing fully well that a return to military confrontation would be their death knell and positively suicidal so what seems to be the gambit of the LTTE which appears to suggest confusion within their mode of reasoning towards their own existence?Have they chosen to run the gauntlet at a time when they seem the most vulnerable to being struck down?

There has also been name calling by the LTTE of Peace Facilitators Norway ( an obvious misnoner ) who despite taking on a bipartisan attitude towards the LTTE do not seem favourable enough in their eyes for having failed to pick a venue advantageous to them of an all important donor conference sponsored by the USA and Japan which the LTTE rather ludicrously have protested about, taking into consideration who the donors are and how they view terrorists and tough luck to them for their role as terrorists disentitling the displaced of the Tamil Community not only to the huge aid packages involved but also their very identity which does not assuage well for them by virtue of any assumed affiliations to terrorists professing to represent if infered thus by the donors!

No rocket science is needed to conclude beyond doubt that the confidence the Tamil Community may have had even fractionally in the LTTE at some time or the other has now been eroded beyond repair as they have observed thw manner in which the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim Communities have become pawns in a dangerous chess game between the Wickremasinghe Administration and the LTTE seemingly unable to divide their anticipated spoils if the Peace Process as envisioned by them to their advantage does not fall into place to fit their bill!

Little needs to be left to the imagination that there will once again be embraces between the warring parties, now a war of words! soon enough on the realization of what they stand to lose if the confrontations at the bargaining table continue and a time appropriate for a higher authority and those in favour of a righteous administration devoid of hidden agendas to step in and take over the reins of a Nation desperately in need of the proper guidance towards peace and prosperity!

Should the stalemate of withdrawal of the LTTE from the Peace Process continue and reach a point of no return and the assumption by many of the uneforeseen eventuality that it may herald a return to hostilities and military confrontation, it is expected that Sri Lanka will benefit the fullest support from the Super Powers and Regional Powers towards maintaining her Sovereign and Territorial Integrity already pledged to them and a point for the LTTE to consider should they entertain any fancy ideas on the misguided concept that they have re-grouped sufficiently to re- initiate what was botched by them as an internal armed insurrection in the first place.

However their best option probably would be to follow the advice of the USA and India towards denouncing their terrorist identity, all hostilities, de-commissioning their weapons and separatist ambitions in joining mainstream Sri Lankan Society as contributors towards collective Nation Building but perhaps a bit too much by way of expectations in the manner of trying to teach old dogs (tigers!) new tricks !!
